I have the book, though not the DVDs. I'd say the book is pretty well written, though I'll admit it intimidated me when i first got it. I'd say first get down all the sleights (or most) before you even attempt to learn the routines, cause he refers back to them a lot. Also, try learning a simple routine (such as winged silver) first so you can get a feel for how the tricks are described, then you can go on to more complicated stuff.
