Though I'm not 100% behind the idea, I think that it would be good to consider the merits of having a place to trade/sell old materials between members

Hmm.. I personally think that this should be done in the 'Broadcast Yourself' forum, as slightly described in its description. It's difficult to get anything like that done on this website itself due to the many factors that come in, such as shipping, handling and payments. Too risky.

Even if this were a good idea, maybe there should be a list of members who earn the right to do so, seeing as how there are possible chances of getting scammed...

Possibly a hidden forum? (like magicians only) and also with a disclaimer that it is at your own risk. As long as you use paypal, the risk of being scammed is very low

We currently are held responsible for every public thing happening on this website and server. Although sellers should be safe, the risk of getting scammed as a buyer is rather high. It would take a whole lot of legal policies to get this done.

Please use the 'Broadcast Yourself' forum to advertise the products you would like to sell or trade. In here, you could also place payment buttons to whichever website you like, including but not limited to PayPal. As long as it is situated externally or on a private basis like through PMs it is all fine.

if someone wants to sell old stuff for magicians they could just put it on ebay or something and mention it on the forums... Just link to the product and details of the product... this way trades/purchases would be safer and it wouldn't be a problem for the admins around here because ebay does all the work... + payment would be easy
