I liked it, Seize. Those are in fact very basic, and even I started out with those, coin related of course.

Average 'Two Card Transpo' for me. Obviously David 'Blame's fault.

My first ever trick was the seperating thumb trick which I learnt when I was about 6. Next was the finger chop gimmick I think, and a really bad 3 card monte from "Magic Shop By Post" which was an awesome leaflet style mail order catalogue which came along with "Joke Shop By Post". I got some awesome things from that. Best ever was the "water squirt camera" for about £3

The first magic move I learned was a back palm. My friends just freaked out when I showed it to them 2 years ago, so that was kind of a starting point for me in magic.

Ha Fin, I used to have that Joke catalouge by post when I was a kid. I had the whoopie cushion and stink bombs - a cliche I know - but my favourite was a little puddle of sick inside a small sort of gift box. You could go round to all the girls in the playground and be like "I've bought you something back from my holidays..."

YAY! My sister bought the sick-in-a-box and had many successes with it, usually blaming a dog for the mess. Which reminds me of "turd in a box", another classic.
