Card Production - Ricky Jay
01.11 in to this Ricky Jay performance he produces 4 queens in a very fancy way. Any one knows how he do this, what the move might be called.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLQaGb_H760 I thinking he builds up some kind of b**** from below and produces it with a flick some how. What think you people. :) Fred |
if i'm not mistaken, it's called the Shot Gun ace( well, that's what it was called back when i learned it), and i'm not allowed to tell you how it was done, not here, not in this forum.

It's Piet Forton's 'Pop Out Move', made most popular by David Copperfield's performance of 'Grandpa's Aces' ('Ultimate Ace Assembly'). Hope that helps. ^_^
|
wasn't that effect called Dream of Aces?
|
Did I seriously say 'Ultimate Ace Assembly'?! Wow, my bad! I meant to say 'MacDonald's Aces' (I guess I was caught in a Penguin moment, as they were the ones calling the pop-out move 'Shotgun Aces').
David Copperfield did 'MacDonald's Aces', Ricky Jay did 'Dream Of Aces'. |
If you want to learn it you'll find it being taught in several different books and dvd's. I'd recommend Chris Kenner's offering which can be found over at T11. That guy is a good teacher!

Mark is right, i learned it on Vicente canuto's book "Fundamental card magic", that's an option to learn it, it's very well explained, i alse believe it is on Roberto Giobbi's card college, vol 2 or 3, but that i can't assure as much as for the first book.
