A way of improving the magic of the community
 

I was reading the forum and stuff, and this idea just came to my mind, it would be fun if, every once in a certain amount of time, everyone of us uploaded a video of a performance of an effect.

Why, you ask? Well bassically this has many advantages, first, you can show the forum your improvement, second, you can be told of your mistakes or the things you can improve, third, every list of two things must have a third.

So what do you guys think of this? Oh, when i say a performance, i mean a real routine, not a 10 seconds video of a vanish, something more elaborate (and therefore, fun to watch).

We're not an incredibly big community, so this idea seems to fit just right for us, but that's just my opinion.

It sounds cool. But do you mean we should all agree to do it on the one day, or just upload performances from time to time in general?

BTW, I think this is a great idea because it will motivate us to work hard on one routine just for uploading it here

If we get to do this, it should be taken as a compromise, so we would upload videos every specific date, like a gigantic project of the community. This should be really fun.

We could have sort of challenges every amount of time, for example... a week where you can only do... mentalism, or coin magic, or a week where you should do a trick with a spoon and a coin, so we will need to research new stuff and maybe find other kinds of magic that we might even like and start practicing after that.

The specific date thing, like once a week, sounds like a very cool way to get motivated and creative. I also like the challenge of performing whole routines and not just controls or colour changes. Good idea Marcos, let's see some magic.

I'd love to contribute to something like this but I'm pretty hard to pin down since I'm pretty busy with work. But keep me posted; I'm definitely interested :)

That seems right to me... but we should decide how to do it, we could do one big post where all the videos are embed, or should everyone do their posts separately?

Yes, I think the best way to do it is by having someone post, on the agreed date, a message that says something like: "you now have x days to post a video". And we just post our videos as a response

We should post a new thread in the magic feed back section to start the whole thing, titled something like "Monthly Magic Challenge" and yes we should all respond to that thread with our vids every twice a month so that we would end up eventually with a very long thread full of ideas and opinions.
