Good 2 card production

I am creating a sandwich effect and have plaaned it all out. I want to start with a two card production like in Alberts overload video. SO, where can i learn one? Free online tutorials are fine for this.

I am already using the top shot as a part of my routine so I don't want to use it twice.

Then why not use the top shot just once? Have one card face up, and another face down on top of it. You do a top shot and TADAA! You have yourself a revelation! :D

One way is to make it up. I really don't have any ideas on where to exactly find productions. I personally just happen to come across the production I used.

there is no place that will teach you 2 card productions. you can only learn some flourishes and then apply it to your liking, i think i will post the one i use the most for you to see( it's the easiest as well, so don't expect much, and since it's a flourish, don't do it without practice, please), teaching as much as i can

You could also try using Simple Switch with Albert's idea. It's a lot easier, but not as visual.

I'm sorry that this is 5 months overdue, but I always use this 2 card production. I can't show it to you on camera because it has no battery, but here is the basic gist of the production...

So, you have one card face up 2nd from the top and the top card is face down (just like a topshot). You now get a break under 2 cards and pick them up as one. Do the Paintbrush change and reveal the 2 cards. Here is a link to a video that uses the production I'm talking about : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txfWH2pvHlA

I think it's brilliant and a good change from the Top Shot :)

Ahh yes thats a good one, thankyou kittydakat, But unfourtantly I cant do a paintbrush change

you want the original or the Monet variation? i can teach you, it's not that hard

Kieran Oloughlin 07-22-2011 06:25 AM

The original

unfortunately, i'm not very good at the paintbrush change so the clip i send you will not be the best( not a big fan of that particular change, a bit too angle sensitive for my taste so i don't practice it all that much), and you will have to go through the trial and error yourself... sorry

I would use Daniel Garcia's - OPP 2.0 [one point production] ; It's similar to the top shot only in a upward direction.

This is a great move, performed very nicely

BCardician has some great productions on his YouTube channel. You can contact him and ask him to teach you. I don't think he will say "no".

Another good one is the slip cut. I sometimes use this. Have 2 cards you want to produce face down on top, perform the slip cut and act like you've cut the cards and turn the 2 cards on the 2 packets over :)
