any good places to buy cards ?

Hi ! Does anyone know good place to buy playing cards online... I live in Finland so it must be a site that ships to Europe...

it would be awesome if the shipping would not double the costs...

Thanks in advance!

I find that http://www.the1eyedjack.com/ and some other Ebay sellers are very reasonable as for their shipping prices. I find it's either way good, meh or way bad, but you'll always be able to find a seller that ships for much less than the companies that actually produced the cards. ^_^

Thanks Mark but in that site too if i would like to buy just 2 decks and pay 10 dollars for them ill have to pay additional 17 dollars for the shipping...

Is this any good?

http://www.markkupurho.fi/

Seems to be selling bicycle decks, and looks like it's based in Finland, so shipping should be less.

And here's a couple of links from the Netherlands who may also offer slightly better shipping prices..

http://www.markkupurho.fi/ Last time i was on that site the prices were too high but now i just check it and the cards are not so expensive at all :D
They cost maybe just little more but ill save that little from the shipping because shipping costs just 4€ so thanks Fin

Oh that's really weird. You pay much more for shipping than me.

Finland may actually be in the Europe 2-zone. That'd mean that shipping from abroad indeed would be more expensive, as well as shipping from the Netherlands to Finland (used to be cheaper some years ago till our postal service changed). :(

Anyhow, glad you've found a good site now. Good job, Fin. ^_^

yeah the shipping used to be cheaper but now its just way too expensive that why i started this thread...

I found this website where they will make your very own personalised playing cards.

Which is extremely expensive for small orders. On top of that, be aware it's a promotional printing company and not a playing card company which means the cards don't and won't live up in quality compared to these of any playing card company. Therefore, you might want to give the House of Playing Cards a try instead.

In the end, you'll also have to design your own cards to make use of those services, while the topic is more so on ordering existing playing cards from elsewhere. ;)

Good advice. And any time I see "plastic coated" I shudder a little bit. The guy giving his review of the quality is clearly not a magician (no dribble!) ;) so although he's probably being honest I doubt he's ever handled a really good deck before so he's not in a good place to judge. Most laymen use HORRIBLE plastic coated cards. It was one of the main reasons I became a magician, I just couldn't bare that sort of life any longer!
